Me and Jack made this mix a while ago between his home setup and pirate studios. I love it. Patchwork of tons of different sounds, but it flows and morphs, moves from ambient to downtempo to techno back to ambient in a way that I really enjoy. Also really encapsulates the 'sound' of Shimmer. Eclectic, ethereal, at times alien and others very human.
100% Vinyl Dub Disco Not Disco Mix W/ Madu
Here we go !!!! Overjoyed to share this 1 hour mix. Showcasing some of my dub disco, proto house, house records. This is a special mix for me; I really wanted to channel the energy of some of the parties that first got me into dance music and djing as well. For me, this mix was guided by the spirits of Chicago, New York and London basements of the 80's and 90's. The disorientating, warped, often times dark sound of repurposed disco tracks was always something that I loved. I often find it hard to describe this kind of music and what it does for me (especially when in the right location) to my loved ones. So I thought, it would be better for me to just record a mix ! So happy to be able to do a straight mix as well, because its been a while - I'm going to be doing more for sure! One hour, high energy, pure joy. Enjoy ! Madu.
